CSOs in ISCO Platform
Informed and aligned CSOs within national sustainability platforms
In the light of ensuring an informed civil society, the Voice Network hosts a separate platform of Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) involved in the various national Initiatives for Sustainable Cocoa, or ISCOs (Belgium, France, Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland).
This platform is aimed at ensuring an informed and aligned presence of the civil society actors in these national platforms. Membership of the CSO’s in ISCOs platform is based on membership of the national ISCO platforms and as such is not linked to VOICE membership. The role of VOICE is to provide the back office for this CSOs platform, be a sounding board for the coordinator, as well as to be one of the many participants in the network.
The CSOs in ISCO Platform brings together around 50 CSOs across ISCOs to strive for aligned and ambitious progress throughout the sector. In recent years, the CSOs in ISCOs group organized itself with collectively defined priorities and governance, and a cycle of thematic calls on the 3 dimensions of Child Labor, Deforestation and Living Income gathering around 30 different participants at each call following an agenda reviewed by a Steering Committee of 13 people where the 5 countries are represented.
